All About the Portable Greenhouse
When you buy a portable greenhouse, you’ll find that it has advantages when compared to the traditional greenhouse. Traditional greenhouses are not easy to keep because they require maintenance. For people who wish to try growing their own herbs or medicinal plants, a small portable greenhouse would do wonders. You will not be tied down with it because it does not require too much and it can easily be folded up and tucked away when it is no longer needed.
The portable greenhouse is designed so that it could be collapsed and folded or rolled into a small bag. Their design is similar to those of tents used for outdoor camping. If you need to place it in another spot, you could easily do so without too much hassle. These kinds of greenhouses empower you if you want to transfer it to another house, or to a spot where the sun is shining better depending on the time of the year.
This tent like greenhouse is made in different designs and sizes. A lot of them are smaller than the size of a small room and handles a few racks of plants. Some of the midsized portable greenhouses are perhaps the size of a full grown man. It is designed so that you stack potted plants on different levels, much like a shelf. The smallest models are usually shaped like a dog house.
The popular types look much like the traditional type. These have metallic frames above it much like the usual greenhouse, but instead of glass, it is covered by a kind of transparent plastic that is durable against heat and cold changes. These are large and thick sheets to guard against the elements.
Other types seem like basket rows. These are called a row house. This type of portable greenhouse is triangular and has doors that can be opened and closed via a zipper. The fabric that covers this type of greenhouse has tiny holes in it so that air can enter and escape through them. Some other types have more complex geometric shapes; polygons that make it seem advanced but work mostly the same way.
A portable greenhouse such as the ones described above is usually called flower houses. This is because most people use them to protect the flowers in their garden from the harsh sun. One can fit inside this tent like structures to water and tend to the plants. These types use tough materials but are of course not as heavy duty as the bigger types that are braced by metal rods. That is why it is important to brace these with rope against the wind.
